𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 年度 HART大獎得獎者 — 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐊𝐰𝐨𝐤 郭子怡 Kelly Kwok (@kakakkelly) is a painter who graduated from the School of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2024. Her creative inspiration stems from keenly observing her surroundings and the people within them. Exploring the often-overlooked details of everyday life, Kwok captures and shares her unique perspective and emotions through her blurred and understated paintings.  In the upcoming six months at HART Haus, Kelly intends to further develop her graduation project, the “Sight” series, and continue focusing on still life painting. Through oil paint, she aims to capture and document moments of daily life, much like writing a diary. 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 年度 HART大獎得獎者 — 𝐊𝐰𝐨𝐤 𝐖𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐧 郭華燊 Kwok Wah San (@wahsan.kwok) is a media and installation artist with a passion for telling fragmentary and continuous stories through photography. In his past works, Kwok has always tried to take the strange phenomena of society and its feelings as the starting point, using readymade objects and human behaviors to intervene with them. The medium is not a limitation for Kwok, but rather a source of inspiration and a point of departure for his thinking. Most of his creative ideas come from patterns of behaviors in society and groups, reflecting on the strange connections between the readymade and human behaviors. 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 年度 HART大獎得獎者 — 𝐄𝐥𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐠𝐚𝐢 魏舍椏 Elsa Ngai (@elsa.sn_art) graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts in 2024. Her graduation work explores the boundary between reality and illusion through the reconfiguration of memory images, constructing an unsettling psychological world beneath a calm exterior. Her works often involve stacking and polishing mineral pigments to blur the sense of time, using intuition and sketches to express the aura of objects. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 國際藝術駐地交流總結 Melody Qingmei Li’s solo project in Prague, Rivers of remembering, to the forgotten land, concludes with a gazing workshop, where the artist guided 11 participants through gazing, story sharing, and braiding. The energy was exceptional. The action of gazing created a vacuum of space for undefinable non-verbal communication to grow. The installation facilitates the energy flow in a way that the artist didn’t anticipate. Everything happens in the moment. Thoughts contributed by the participants on “unknown memories” and braids made by them will become a part of the artist’s further artistic investigation. Found memories, names, and images in Prague will also feed into future explorations. Founded by Gaylord Chan and his fellow students in 1995, this collective showcases the creative works of 18 artists from diverse background, both local and overseas. This exhibition celebrates not only the artistic journey of Gaylord Chan, whose retrospective is concurrently displayed at Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, but also features a stunning icosahedron installation at our shopfront! Step up and view this colorful masterpiece from the street through our glass windows. She will guide participants through an eye-gazing meditation and collective bead-braiding. Through bodily recollection of a foreign land filled with unlived histories and indirect experiences, an atmosphere will be constructed through an installation of weaving threads, braiding beads, and fragmented drawings, among which moving images from reflections in Hong Kong and the Vltava River in Prague conversing in gaps of the space. Materials, reflections, and bodily encounters are placed in exchange, brewing kinship with layered memories. “She wanted to see the Vltava.” Your Spring is scattered over our Summer. Your hair joined with my hair. Her gaze tangled with your gaze. Unknown memories boil with unspoken words.  In collaboration with Prague Art Week (@prague_art_week) HART is delighted to announce that HART Studio Artist Melody Qingmei Li (@melodyqingmei) will be participating in the International Artist Residency Exchange in the Czech Republic.  𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 Melody Qingmei Li is an artist and writer based in Hong Kong. She constantly edits and translates threads of memories and the present, some of which grow into forms of writing while others are woven into various mediums including drawings, paintings, moving images, objects, and sculptures. She treats artistic practice as simple daily exercises to resist the spreading of amnesia and aphasia, and meanwhile to create possibilities for moments of resonance. She is interested in liminal spaces between the natural and the artificial, the body and the mind, and the individual and the system.  𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 PRAGUE ART WEEK is an open platform for the cooperation of the most important institutions in Prague’s art scene, as well as an annual art festival with the aim of connecting galleries, museums, exhibition halls, as well as art collections and other art-oriented organisations. The vision of PRAGUE ART WEEK is to make Prague stand out on the art world map and contribute to the internationalisation of the Czech art scene. The third edition of the art festival called PRAGUE ART WEEK 24 will present the best of the programme of Prague’s leading art institutions from 5-8 September 2024. —————— 聯同布拉格藝術週𢹂手合作，HART 欣然宣布匯舍藝術家李清美將到訪捷克共和國進行藝術駐地交流。 藝術家介紹 李清美是一位藝術家和寫作者，生活工作於香港。她於記憶與當下之間編輯轉譯，有些成文，有些線頭則織入豐富媒介之中，如圖像光影或物件雕塑。她視創作為日復一日的簡單耕作，以此抵抗失憶與失語的病毒蔓延，亦是為共鳴的瞬間埋下種子。自然與人造、肉體與思維、個體與系統中的臨界空間令她著迷 。 關於布拉格藝術週 布拉格藝術週是布拉格藝術界最重要機構所策劃的開放式合作平台，亦是一年一度的藝術節，旨在連結畫廊、博物館、展覽館、藝術藏品及其他以藝術為導向的機構。布拉格藝術週的願景是引領布拉格站上世界藝術的版圖，並為捷克藝術的國際化件出貢獻。第三屆藝術節「布拉格藝術週24」將於2024年9月5日至8日舉辦，屆時將展示布拉格各大藝術機構的精彩節目。
